Alaina Suddeth is the child of Kristy Suddeth (Rossville, Georgia) and J. J. Suddeth. Alaina's father, a Tennessee-based process technician started singing when she was 3. The first time she sang in front of an audience was at a local kid singing group. The next time she performed in public included an annual holiday destination that had Karaoke. The singer sang in any 30 mile radius, which included places of worship, family meals and restaurants celebrations. Alaina was 8 year old when she took home The Southern Stars Pageant's talent contest. The following year, she appeared on the Kids' talent stage during Chattanooga Riverbend Festival. The event allowed her to perform on the festival's main stage in the age of 12, after having been performing there each year. When she was ten years old she traveled to Orlando, Florida for the American Model and Talent Competition. She defeated 1500 competitors in the finals to win the crown. Alaina sang with the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association's youth group. Alaina's first trip to Nashville was when she was of 12. She performed in Tootsie's Bar, which is a bar in the area situated on Broadway. Alaina was the 2009 winner from Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park's WinniSTAR young talent competition. Alaina began singing after the death of her sister Holly Witherow who had been diagnosed with a tumor on the brain inspired her. Alaina was previously employed by CiC's Pizza. She played cheerleading at Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
